Yadier Molina Is So Tiny I Thought He Was The Bat Boy

You guys – I’m not making this up.

I was at the game Sunday night and I thought the bat boy was walking up to the plate before I realized that it was Yadier Molina.

Yes.

I mistook the best catcher of his generation for a bat boy.

He’s. So. Tiny.

You’ve seen him, right? Tell me you’ve been watching. The still pics (like the one above) don’t do the weight loss justice.

Bernie’s even writing columns about it and stuff…

Given his superb defense it makes a lot of sense for Molina to be lighter, quicker and healthier at this stage of his career. If the weight loss makes him more nimble behind the plate, it will only enhance his defense.

I love you Bern, but I saw the guy up close and personal and can tell you that dude looks about 5’10” going on a buck eighty.

His block game better be on 100 if he’s expecting to improve on his excellence. He’ll get no freebies from the flab.

Tripp Cromer was 6’2″ one sixty five and had to jump around in the shower to get wet. We’re not that far off with Molina… minus the height!

Good for Yadi wanting to be healthy. Respect. But now that I’ve seen the ‘new’ Molina up close and personal, I’m more than intrigued to see how this season plays out.

Let’s hope Molina rips a page from Bethenny Frankel’s playbook and gets rich with skinny.
