Looks like the reason Andrew Yogan didn’t play in last night’s Traverse Final was a separated shoulder…
Jess Rubenstein at The Prospect Park says the injury is the last thing Yogan needs as his hopes of making the CT Whale disappeared and is most likely headed back to his junior team.

…tough break for Yogan who had just recovered from surgery on his other shoulder which had him sidelined for virtually all of last season. The guy’s got skill but if he can’t stay on the ice he’s going to have a tough time making an impression on the Rangers organization.

Also on the injury front, Rubenstein wonders if Christian Thomas was hurt more than he showed after taking a vicious elbow to the head early in the first period last night and feels Scott Stajcer’s lateral movement was compromised when he twisted either his knee or hip when he made a save up against the pipe with his skate in the second period. Stajcer had hip surgery last year.
Blake Bartlett also seemed to bang-up his knee in the third period last night.
