The Timberwolves certainly feel the same way:
“Our entire organization — made up of the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Minnesota Lynx and Iowa Wolves — is deeply committed to creating a safe work environment for our employees, partners and fans,” the Timberwolves said in a statement issued Tuesday afternoon. “Our teams strive to have our actions reflect our values each and every day. We work to maintain high standards of conduct and expect our staff to lead by example. We did not believe Mr. Brunson’s conduct was consistent with those standards.”
And so do I. You are well respected by your peers and the many fans who tuned in to the telecasts last season.
*Raise hand*
And even if you did not cover the Timberwolves, the fact that you are a member of the media covering the NBA speaks volumes about your work ethic and your pursuit of your dreams.
It must have taken—*nod*—a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to be here, which says a lot about you and your character.
And so, whoever you are, if you are reading this article, I want you to remember this: despite what has happened to you, despite the stress, the uncertainty and the anxiety you must have felt about the inappropriateness of the situation, this event does not define the arc of your career.
You are just as talented as before, if not more.
You are, again, a treasured talent.
