Well, that was awkward. Was there anything salvageable about yesterday’s dose of disappointment?

- Ohio Stadium– Check. C-Deck, Ahoy.
- The Best from Buckeye Fans- A number of sources said that PSU fans and players were treated with respect and dignity, so good job on this. Here’s hoping that it catches on for the next trip to Happy Valley.
- 100 Yards from DeVier Posey- Nope: 66 yards on 4 catches.
- 100 Yards from Boom Herron- Nay: 76 yards. Brax has 105.
- A passing game that Penn State has to respect- Still wishing. Some big drops by the young Bucks really hamstrung this game from the start.
- A pick-six- What about a Pick that led to Six?

Boom goes the dynamite – No one will ever doubt Boom’s courage and heart. But the fumbled exchange was almost catastrophic.
- A pocket full of Poseys – If only there was a passing scheme in the Ohio State offense… I loved the screen call, and moving him around to get better coverage; it just seems as if the Buckeyes haven’t gotten to the point where they have any idea what to do in the aerial attack, no matter who the receivers are.
- Shazier sharp defense – Holy hell, this kid can flat out play. A couple of missed assignments, but in the second half he was a one man wrecking crew… he’s going to be special.
- A senior moment – Unfortunately, it feels as if this year’s team is looking for the exits, and who can blame them after all they’ve been through. Still, it’s disappointing that they were unable to exert their experience and will to keep the team focused.

- Senior Day Delight – Sorry, guys. No dice.
- Break the Freshman Curse – No freshman OSU QB has beaten the Lions. Although, it wasn’t for a lack of trying…
- Big Game Posey – The heart was there, but the opportunities were lacking.
- Brax is in the air- Only 83 yards receiving… so, nope.
- Stuff Silas Redd- Redd only had 63 yards, but it was the three headed monster and 239 total yards that killed Ohio State.
- Match the Vest– Coach Fickell will need to win in Michigan to match Tress’ rookie record.
Jim
- Someone other than Jim Bollman in charge of the offense– Well, let’s just keep Jim away from liquor and sharp objects for one more week, shall we?
Mali
- Start strong- Fail. OSU falls into a 10 point hole, and plays lights out in the second half. They just aren’t able to make it run from start to finish.
- Finish well- This is a push, as I think the defense really showed their stuff against the Lions in the second half. The offense, though… too many mistakes.
- Tradition continued– Credit where credit is due; McMoxie played a heck of a game, with one minor exception.
- Tradition changed- Believe it or not, there was play action and such on first down. Didn’t amount to much, but it’s a start.
- The Vest- He was there in spirit, I’m sure.
- That thing- Ok. Without bashing a young man who I’m sure is trying his most very bestest- JB Shugarts’ weekly false start, if not costing Ohio State the game, certainly kneecapped their ability to win. I wish him the best in his next endeavors, and am looking forward to them coming soon.
