Coming up tomorrow, I will give you my post-game thoughts, my review on What Do You Want To See On Saturday, and a Buckeye Hotspots review (in which I will give a bad review to Buffalo Wild Wings, and tell you why I will NEVER set foot in that restaurant again).
But I wanted to point out one fact to everybody. You talk about a close game? This game was about as close as you can POSSIBLY get. Here’s the stats;
- Final score – Ohio State 20, Wisconsin 17
- Total yardage – Ohio State 327, Wisconsin 326
- Rushing yards – Ohio State 183, Wisconsin 179
- Passing yards – Ohio State 144, Wisconsin 147
- Turnovers – Ohio State 2, Wisconsin 2
- Yards per rush – Ohio State 4.6, Wisconsin 4.6
So what was the difference?
Ryan Pretorius was 2-for-2 in FG kicking for Ohio State, Phillip Welch was 1-for-1 for Wisky. We need perfection from our kicking game, and we got it in a game when less-than-perfect would have cost us a victory. Hats off to Pretorius for being clutch when we needed him to be.
