Boston Bruin Shawn Thornton and NESN’s Jenny Dell will join Youk’s Kids at the Hotel Commonwealth on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 to unveil nine celebrity-designed holiday wreaths. The wreaths will be auctioned off at the 3rd annual Not Your Average Idol event, a fundraiser for Youk’s Kids scheduled for December 6, 2012.
Shawn Thornton will work with Tim Stancell-Condron from Winston Flowers to design their wreaths. Onsite will be wreaths from Jenny Dell, Tom and Gisele Brady, Gavin DeGraw, Doug Flutie, Jason and Catherine Varitek, Jordan Knight and Mike O’Malley. The wreaths will be part of the silent auction at the event on December 6, 2012, along with wreaths decorated by former New England Patriot Kevin Faulk, Chelsea Handler, Kevin and Julie Youkilis, Liberty Bay Credit Union and Winston Flowers. Bids for all the wreaths will be accepted in advance beginning at 5 pm on Nov. 20 at http://www.biddingforgood.com/idol.
A portrait of Kevin Youkilis by artist Brian Fox will also be unveiled at the event.
This portrait, featuring Kevin at bat, will be part of the live auction at the event. Presented by New Balance, the 3rd annual Youk’s Kids Not Your Average Idol event will feature musical performances from singer, songwriter Vanessa Carlton, Mike Burke, AHMIR, Faces on Film, Will Dailey with Audrey Ryan, and the Colonial Jazz Band.
