Kids are cute and say the darndest things. They should be cherished and appreciated at all times. That being said, I’m not so sure about this 11-year old kid.

Clearly, there are some parenting issues going on if this kid lives in the shadow of The Big A and is going out of his way to write Billy Beane to ask for the team to beat the Halos. Have they not instilled in him a sense of pride in his community? And why is he writing this by hand? Are they depriving him of internet access so he can send an e-mail?
But seriously, I wouldn’t really make fun of a kid (as far as you know). This is a very cute letter. There is nothing wrong with the child or parents other than poor taste in baseball teams.
