We’re about to go full-on Howard Hughes for National Signing Day. Think Leonardo DiCaprio in “The Aviator,” locked in the enclave. After a workout and a date tonight it’s all recruiting/all the time for the next 96 hours.
The Duck Stops Here will have updated player profiles on all the Oregon targets and verbal commits, plus a full day of coverage on Signing Day, Wednesday, February 1st.
Other great resources for recruiting coverage include oregonlive.com, Rob Moseley’s Oregon Football blog in the Register-Guard, and Duck Sports Now.
Nationally, ESPNU, channel 411 on the Comcast system in the Willamette Valley, begins 10 hours of continuous coverage at 6 a.m. Pacific. Jenn Brown will be reporting live from Eugene, one of 13 live reporters stationed on college campuses for the day. Former Oregon head coach Mike Bellotti is on the panel of in-studio experts, along with Rod Gilmore, Tom Luginbill and David Pollack.
Ten of the top players in the country will be announcing their commitment live on-air throughout the day, including:
- No. 3 Dorial Green-Beckham (Springfield, Mo.; No. 1 wide receiver)
- No. 9 Andrus Peat (Tempe, Ariz.)
- No. 10 Eddie Goldman (Washington, DC; No.1 defensive tackle)
- No. 17 Josh Harvey-Clemons (Valdosta, Ga.; No. 1 outside linebacker)
- No. 18 Tracy Howard (Miramar, Fla.; No. 1 cornerback)
- No. 29 Kwon Alexander (Oxford, Ala.)
- No. 33 Thomas Johnson (Dallas)
- No. 47 Nelson Agholor (Tampa, Fla.)
- No. 61 Avery Young (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.)
- Trea Elston (Oxford, Ala.)
Johnson is an Oregon target who visited Eugene just last weekend. Peat, Goldman and Alexander were players the Ducks had interest in.
