Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
"I'm not at liberty to talk about it, but there's a huge possibility about me going to China or me going overseas to play basketball," Howard told the AP.
"The big thing for me is not giving too much information away, but at the same time I still need to let people know what's going on with me," the 6-11 Atlanta native told the AP. "I don't want to just sit over here and forget about basketball and waste, you know, opportunities for me to get better."
I'm calling BS on this one. No way Dwight Howard plays in China or any other league not called the NBA. Same goes for Kobe Bryant and other top 10 players. We may see more players sign contracts (a la Deron Williams), but there will not be an elite player who takes the court with a Fenerbahce Ulker jersey.
This is a negotiating tactic designed to draw media attention and scare the owners. I bet the players union sent out a memo asking all players to tell the media they are entertaining offers to play overseas.
