"I should have been more aggressive when I look back on it now," Green told ESPN 980 in Washington, DC. "That's what they brought me in for."
"Being a young guy in this league," said Green, who averaged 9.8 points off the bench for the Celtics, "it's tough coming in where you got Kevin (Garnett) on one side, Paul (Pierce), Ray (Allen), (Rajon) Rondo now who's been with that team for a long time. It was tough for me to come in and be 'the man,' coming off the bench, it was tough. In my mind, I'm thinking, 'those guys preach, sharing the ball, sharing the ball.' It was kind of, 'you gotta be aggressive . . .' but I didn't want to step on anybody's toes. Now I look back at it now, I should have taken it for a grain of salt and take my slice of the pie. I don't think I did that when I came into that situation."

I understand that Jeff Green was intimidated playing alongside three future Hall of Famers. But how does he explain his passiveness with the second unit?
Green's going to have a lot of pressure on him next season. I hope he can handle it.

“I was contacted by Nenad’s agent,’’ said Ainge, “and with the uncertainty of the labor situation of the NBA, I think he decided to take the sure thing.’’
“He’s been sharing his situation with me,’’ said Ainge. “I talked to him just the other day. He loved Boston and had a great desire to return there and play, but I think the uncertainty gave him [a reason to leave]. I guess this is what he felt, that he was going to take this opportunity.’’
This is the second time Krstic has left the NBA to play in Russia. In the summer of 2008, he signed a two-year deal for 6 million euros with Triumph Lyubertsy. But that December, he agreed to a three-year, $16 million contract with Oklahoma City.

I don't have a copy of Nads contract in front of me (the new guy Jacob is responsible for obtaining and reading those foreign contracts), but if he was able to break free from Lyubertsy in 2008 who's to say Nads can't do it again?
