Your Morning Dump… Where Delonte is a hell of a player

Delonte vs twolves

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.

"[West] was terrific, especially early on," Rivers told reporters in Minnesota. "I thought he set the tone for us, a big steal. He's so tough, I mean, Delonte, again, I don't know how you describe his game. I've said that 100 times — I couldn't tell you what he does great. He's a hell of a player to have on your basketball team because he's going to help you win a game."

ESPN Boston: Wes't play on point

I can't say much about Delonte's play last night because I was in and out of the game during our party.  But this does show why Mike Gorman told us having a healthy Delonte could be the difference between winning a championship or going home early.

Delonte's stat line (8 pts, 5 ast, 3 reb, 2 stl, 1 TO) is classic Delonte: a little bit of everything.  It's a nice to have him there on nights where Rondo can't go.

“The first quarter would be our blueprint, andthen after that I didn’t think we played very well,” coach Doc Rivers said. “We had a terrific first quarter. The ball was hopping, we kept the game simple, and then I thought we started overthinking ourselves. I didn’t like our third-quarter defense — we gave up 28 points.

“But it’s a four-game road trip. As far as I’m concerned we have to get a win and move on.”

Herald: Celtics complicate matters

Doc sounds like a guy who is almost as frustrated as we are.  It's almost as if the C's put together a great first quarter to prove that they could… and then shut it down.

That's almost the exact MO of last year's team.  At least they got the win.
