Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here…
highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as
satisfying as a good morning dump.
Miami’s new Big Three will be making their regular-season debut against the Celtics’ Big Three at TD Garden.
According to a league sources, the revamped Heat, featuring the
daunting trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh, will open
the NBA season against the Celtics Oct. 26, a clash that will be
nationally televised by TNT.The league will release its opening week and Christmas Day schedules
tonight on NBA TV, and it’s expected that the Heat and Celtics will be
prevalent in those games.
Globe: Celtics will host Heat, LeBron opening night
Ohhhh….. kayyyyyyy.
So all this stuff I said yesterday… about tone-deaf people running the NBA and being force-fed something and told to like it… nevermind.
So to the NBA, I'm sorry for overreacting.
Now let's hope this report is correct so I don't have to go through this again.
On Page 2, Nate Robinson talks about the "Shrek and Donkey" press conference
SLAM: You and Big Baby set Twitter on fire the day after that memorable press conference.
NR: It was bananas. We had the Internet going nuts.
Baby is a real good dude. He’s very respectful and he just loves to win.
When we had that interview it was kind of cool because he’s big like
Shrek and I’m short and talk a lot like Donkey so it was perfect timing
with what went on. Coach let us play that game and we had a great game.
Baby really put us over the edge that game. We were having so much fun.
And we had a great press conference. One of the best of all time.
One of the best of all time indeed.
Nate also professes a deep admiration for Rasheed Wallace in that interview. Slam caught up with him at his camp… and Nate talks about giving back to Seattle like some of the great players before him.
You really see how young Nate is in this interview because he was talking about going to Ken Griffey Jr.'s baseball camps. Griff just retired… so Nate must have gone in his early days with Seattle.
Good stuff.
