While promoting the online education program of Provost Academy, former Buckeye Jared Sullinger took some time to address the education he’s getting as a player who is still fairly new to the NBA. Sullinger looks forward to being an underdog next season, loves the idea of playing for coach Brad Stevens (even if he concedes some people wonder how he can take a man who looks that young seriously), and he praises Rajon Rondo as a man who protects his teammates.

Fear the Hat – Sullinger on Provost, the Pros and Promoting his dad’s new book
Sullinger has been in the news a bit lately around his home town and has been discussing all sorts of things. In an interview on a local TV station that we highlighted earlier, Sully said he was doing well and hoped that teammate Rajon Rondo would be back sometime in December. In the video above, he also discusses Rondo, saying that if he’s within your inner circle (i.e. your teammate) he’s always got your back and is a great teammate. Among other topics that he goes into are: his dad’s new book coming out, how he thinks his alma mater will fare this season and just how much he enjoys being an underdog. That’s good, because there won’t be many games this season when the Celtics won’t be underdogs. Glad to see that he is doing better. His half season was one of the bright spots in an otherwise dark season last year.
