It is clear that Green is easily one of the most focused, forgiving and pragmatic people ever to lace on a pair of sneakers. Either that or he’s, you know, fibbing.

This story is a classic case of everyone’s reaction being colored by his recent performance. If he’d come out to a hot start and started to live up to some of our expectations, we’d applaud him for being professional, accepting the fact that he was traded, and understanding that he was going to a great situation.
But he’s come out to an inconsistent (to be nice) start, and now you look at that and you wonder how he can be so emotionless about something as life altering as a trade. When you look at Green and see the talent level…. and when you KNOW the problem he has is a lack of aggressiveness on the court…. you look at situations like tonight as a “revenge” situation. This is one of those games where you want Green spotting Sam Presti in the crowd and staring him down as he attacks over, and over, and over again.
But that’s wishful thinking. The thing with Jeff Green is, it’s not impossible for that wish to come true. He might just come out tonight pissed off and do the things we want him to do. Or he might not. And even if he does, there’s no guarantee he’d carry it into Sunday’s Orlando game.
We’ll see, I guess. I know if I was the guy who got traded, I’d have the middle finger up the whole time I played them.
