Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
Kevin Garnett, NBA Celtics star and former Timberwolves star, stopped at P & A Security in Willmar Tuesday for training. He signed some autographs while he was there.
This was actually a couple of days ago but the photo just surfaced. And this isn’t a big deal or anything other than this being the first I’ve even seen of Kevin Garnett since the season ended. Nice to see he still hangs out in Minnesota. And hey, you’ve got work on your shot in the offseason, whether it’s an 18 foot jumper, or a 9mm Beretta (if you’re into that sort of thing). Plus, he wouldn’t be the only Celtics big man who could handle a pistol.
Welcome to August, folks, where the biggest Celtics updates is keeping up with what the Celtics are doing with their off time. Since we’re here:
- No, Jeff Green hasn’t officially signed yet.
- No, it doesn’t look like Danny’s adding another player (but you never know)
- No, the Celtics aren’t trading for anyone because none of the guys they’ve recently signed can be traded until at least December (or January, in some cases).
Chris Wilcox delivered a pick-up truck full of food to a food bank. Rajon Rondo is going to be in a video game (via CSNNE). Mickael Pietrus (whom the Celtics just can’t afford anymore) is talking to Milwaukee. And that’s about it for the moment.
Besides, any excuse to watch Bill Russell in Miami Vice is a good reason. Happy Friday.
