Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
Is there reason to be concerned? Cedric Maxwell says so. Maxwell was on Sports Sunday with Mike Felger to discuss the seriousness of KG’s injury.
“Well I think there’s a lot of concern when you think about it,” Maxwell said.
“Last night he got on the bus … kind of limping in. So I’m just very concerned right now looking at him last night.”
Maxwell also told Felger that Garnett was wearing a boot.
“Never a good thing,” Maxwell said. “At this time of the season, never in that situation for an older player.”
CSNNE: Maxwell: “Very concerned” with Garnett’s ankle injury
Happy Monday everyone!! For my next trick, I’m going to piss in your coffee while texting you pictures of your significant other having sex with that cousin you hate.
Kevin Garnett’s foot injury is a concern because it took us all by surprise. We didn’t see, like we saw with Courtney Lee, the ankle roll. We were sort of blind-sided by the news that he was missing the Memphis game and he was scheduled for an MRI.
Right now, the MRI results are either not in, or not public, so we don’t know what the deal is. I will say that I also don’t like the looks of this simply because things are starting to pile up for Garnett. The fatigue… the groin injury… the flu… and now the foot.
I think they’re all connected. Fatigue inhibits your body’s ability to heal or fight things off. But before I go too far off the deep end, I’ll stop here and wait for the MRI results. If I don’t stop now, I’ll end up writing a new verse for a remix of “My Mind’s Playing Tricks On Me” (nsfw lyrics in link).
