Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
Former local college standouts Baron Davis (UCLA) and Tina Thompson (USC0 have teamed together to host a basketball charity event “For The City”. Proceeds from the game will benefit “Kids in Sports”, a local organization who’s mission is to provide high quality, low cost, sport opportunities for under-served youth across Los Angeles County.
Scheduled participants for the game include; Baron Davis, Tina Thompson, Trevor Ariza, DeMar DeRozan, Nick Young, Craig Smith, Chase Budinger, Dorell Wright, Jason Collins, Jarron Collins, Darren Collison, Amir Johnson, Arron Afflalo, Paul Pierce, James Harden and Russell Westbrook.
Pierce has joined the same band of merry men who play in these things. Most of these guys will play in just about any one of these games they can find. Which I suppose is good considering there isn't much else he could do.
If you're one of our LA readers, go here for tickets. The game is next Sunday, so I assume Paul will be working off some Thanksgiving turkey after the trip home to see the fam.
