Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.

“You just want to get it out of the way. When you gotta go through something tough, I’ve always been a guy that just wants to get it out of the way. It’s gonna be in the back of my mind,” Pierce said.

Pierce added that he does not plan to go to Boston for the preseason meeting there against the Celtics.

“I’ll do it just one time next year,” he said.

ESPN New York:  Paul Pierce – Knicks hatred grows

Paul Pierce knows 2 things:

1:  His return is going to be a big f’ing deal.  I don’t care if it was mutual, if he forced his way out, or if he was kicked out of the building by security… that is going to be THE hottest ticket of this upcoming season.  He’s not going to waste that on a preseason game.

2:  If he DOES do it in the preseason, he’s going to force the Celtics to do it twice, because January will still be his first regular season game back.  That saps all the energy out of the moment.

So like I said in yesterday’s dump, don’t waste your money on doing everything you can to get into a preseason game.  Save it for January.  In fact, if you’re intent on going, start saving now… it won’t be cheap.

We’ve got secondary market tickets on sale already… if you just want to get in the door, the cheapest ticket is $129.  I can’t imagine that price dropping much.

You can follow the link to ESPN New York for a whole lot of Pierce trash talking the Knicks.  I just can’t listen to him calling that Brooklyn team the most talented he’s been on.  I’ll leave that up to you to if you want to hear it.
