Your Morning Dump... Where Rondo is ballin' in Taiwan

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.

Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo met with a group of local high school basketball players Saturday and encouraged them to practice as much as possible because that is the only way to become a better player.

The 26-year-old Rondo told the players from Taiwan’s High School Basketball League that there are no shortcuts on the basketball court and that the best way to become a great player is to “keep practicing.”

Rondo also participated in a training session with the young players.

Rondo arrived in Taiwan early Saturday as a spokesman for the Red Bull King of the Rock in Taiwan, a one-on-one basketball tournament. He is also scheduled to attend the final of the tournament at Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall on Sunday.

Focus Taiwan

This Red Bull King of the Rock promotion is keeping Rajon Rondo busy. From Taiwan, he’ll head to the Philippines for events Tuesday and Wednesday.

What a life. Seeing the world and teaching hoops in your down time.
