Your Morning Dump… Where Shaq WILL be a Celtic

Shaq C's jersey

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here…
highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as
satisfying as a good morning dump.

Shaquille O'Neal has agreed to become a Boston Celtic, which would give
the C's one of the most star-studded, Hall of Fame-bound lineups in
recent memory.

He joins a team that already includes perennial all-stars Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett.

Although
O'Neal has said he wants to play at least two more seasons, his
contract will be a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum.

The
union between the C's and O'Neal speaks volumes about how both sides,
truth be told, have little choice but to unite with one another.

CSNNE: Shaq to become a Celtic

Props to Sherrod Blakely for being on top of this story from the jump.  Although there is a report out there that this will be a 2 year deal, and not 1… so we'll have to see how that shakes out.  And props to him for that last line… because THAT'S what this is really about.

In the end, Shaq is out of options… and so are the Celtics.  For each side to accomplish its goal, it needs the other to make it possible.

So Shaq is going to be a Celtic.  This is going to be one hell of a ride, folks.  One hell of a ride.

On Page 2: Baby's excited about Shaq

From Big Baby's Twitter page:

.. Me and shaq on the same team!!!!! that's crazy!!! Ayo baby!!!!!!

I am going to teach shaq how to douggie!!! Ayo baby!! On my mama!!

I can't wait for those plan rides !! It's going to be funny !! Ayo baby

I can bet shaq in a dance off!!! With no problems!! So easy!!! Can't wait!!!

See what I mean?

It's going to be real interesting to see how Shaq fits in with the different personalities on this team.  And yes, I'm think of KG when I say this.

Some of these guys are so happy-go-lucky, like Baby.  But I wonder if having Shaq around will cause the goofiness to happen at what KG deems to be inappropriate times.  It's gonna be interesting to see.
