Olynyk met with reporters after the game, and when asked about the injury, he offered, “Sprained it, I guess. I don’t know if I stepped on his foot or something, but I just sprained it.”
Will he play on Saturday in Atlanta?
“We’ll see,” said Olynyk. “Only time will tell, really.”
Olynyk said he didn’t think an MRI would be necessary. “Hopefully it doesn’t go there,” he said.
Pressed on whether it’s a low- or high-ankle sprain, he laughed and noted, “I don’t know enough about injuries to tell you that. I think it’s a mid-sprain, to be safe.”
Nothing but blatant speculation here, but I’ll bet Kelly Olynyk sits out a few days. There’s no need to exhibit any risk with your young center’s foot/ankle when you have a decaying Kris Humphries on the bench ready to gobble up his minutes.
As for Jared Sullinger’s illness, he provided this update at 6:30am:

Sullinger needed an IV yesterday to combat the flu. He walked out of the locker room last night insinuating that he would play tonight against Atlanta and I believe he will. These guys don’t like to miss games because of illness.
Am I the only one who looks at that photo and thinks Sully might puke on him?

Page 2: Frank Vogel likes to bust balls with Brad Stevens
Vogel, employing peripheral vision that made him a starter at Juniata College, caught sight of Stevens and executed a verbal crossover that nearly broke the ankles, neck and pen of a bystander. With a rise in volume, Vogel changed course.
“I don’t think he’s ready to be a head coach yet,” he said after taking down the Celtics, 97-82, last night. “He’s got a lot of things to learn.”
Vogel had broken into a smile as Stevens was about to turn the corner into the Celtics quarters, but he kept going.
“But maybe some day when that all materializes and he works harder than he’s ever worked . . .” he said.
“Good to see you,” replied Stevens. “Tell Jen I said ‘Hi.’ ”
“Good to see you, too,” said Vogel. “And ‘Hi’ to Tracy.”
Nothing like some friendly jousting among friends. Reminds me of the time I put toilet water in John’s water bottle. The fecal matter wreaked havoc on his stomach and he spent three days in the hospital with vicious diarrhea, but it was funny.
In non-Celtics news, the Bulls Derrick Rose ripped up his good knee last night. There’s speculation he tore the ACL.
