The worst case scenario for Zach Collaros’ injury has come true. Bill Koch broke the news that Zombie has a fractured ankle. He’s out for the rest of the regular season. Butch Jones is holding out hope that Collaros could return in a bowl game. It would have to be the Orange Bowl one would think. Munchie Legaux is the starter for the last 3 games of the season. He has played a little more than a half of football this season, going 15-28-205-0 TDs-1 INT, with 115 rushing yards and 2 TDs.
It’s terrible for Collaros that his senior season could possibly end like this. Hopefully Zombie can bounce back and play in the BCS game if the Bearcats maintain their conference lead. UC is 3-1 in the Big East. They have games @ Rutgers, @ Syracuse and vs Connecticut to close the season. They are still in the driver’s seat, but things are a lot tougher without one of the captains.
