Greensburg (PA) Greensburg Central Catholic 2013 ATH Zach Guiser may not be on Rivals or Scout yet, but that doesn’t mean his name is not out there.  “I’ve gotten letters from basically everywhere in the country, all the way out to Oregon and down to Texas A&M.  Pitt, Duke, Temple, WVU, and Boston College all have interest in me,” he said in a recent interview with NittanyLionsDen.com.  “I only camped at Pitt, Duke, and Temple this year.  Coach Knowles and Coach Loeffler from Duke and Temple respectively were very interested in me and told me how they’ll be recruiting the heck out of me,” he continued.

But there’s one school that holds a slight lead with Guiser.  “Penn State has always been my dream school ever since I was little.  I would say that PSU is my early favorite.  I’ve been to the campus numerous times and been to a few games as a fan.  As anybody who’s seen Beaver Stadium in action would know, there’s nothing that can compare to that stadium when it gets rockin’,” he said.  “Having two PSU alumni as parents, Penn state holds a special spot with me.”

What is Guiser looking for in a school?  “Academics, religious value, campus life and football tradition would be the first four components I would weigh in.  I have a 4.1 GPA, so academics are without a doubt first. Coaching staff and location would probably come into play after that.”

Guiser also added that he “would also like to start hearing from the other prestigious academic universities, such as Stanford and Northwestern.”

Zach Guiser self-reports a 4.4 forty time, benches 290, squats 385 and has a 34.5 inch vertical.  He stands at 6’1″ and 191 lbs.
