Zombie Zach Collaros Rises Tonight in Canada

movember3

Zach Collaros had a pretty fantastic Cincinnati career. He played a huge part in the undefeated regular season of 2010, he started two seasons as your quarterback and he won a Big East (co) championship. He overcame a potential season ending injury to lead Cincinnati to victory in his final game, the Liberty Bowl against Vanderbilt.

Collaros has dropped off the radar some in the past couple of years, what with not being a Bearcat and all that. Maybe it had something do with the fact he was stolen by ghosts. What we do know is that Zombie Zach Collaros has risen again. Tonight he starts for the Toronto Argonauts. Funny that Collaros ended up on the Argos, since Ben Affleck was a ghost in Argo. Collaros is starting in place of Ricky Ray, who is injured. Ray might return next week, so this could be the only start for Zombie this season.

If this is his only start, there has to be a way to see it, right? Right? Yes. The game will be televised on NBC Sports at 7:30. His coach was quoted as saying this in advance of his start tonight:

“I think he has all the tools,” Brady said. “It’s going to be his first start, so I can’t project too far ahead. But I have all the confidence that he’s going to execute [Tuesday] night. And then we’ll go from there.”

In all seriousness, congrats to Zach on his first opportunity to start. It will not be his last. I have a feeling he's going to do great. The linked article is definitely worth your time.

If you can't see the game, I'll have a recap up tomorrow.
