Arizona Cardinals Futures Odds

After signing J.J. Watt and A.J Green, Arizona got off to a hot start in 2021, going undefeated through the first seven weeks. The 2021 season marked the first time the Cardinals had gone 7-0 since being based in St. Louis.

However, Arizona struggled down the stretch of the season, winning just four of its final 10 games. Still, the Cardinals finished 11-6, improving their 8-8 record from the previous season.

Fresh off of their first winning season since 2015, the best online sportsbooks have projected Arizona for 8.5 wins in 2022.

The NFC West is a tough division with the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, and reigning Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams. In a tight division, the best NFL betting sites give the Cardinals the third-best odds to win the division at +285.

Following last year’s late-season collapse, the Cardinals enter the season as longshots to win the Super Bowl at +4000 odds.

Arizona will be heading into the 2022 season without key offensive pieces including Chandler Jones and Christian Kirk. However, Kyler Murray still has plenty of weapons.

The third-year quarterback is surrounded by Zach Ertz, James Conner, and A.J. Green, the Cardinals are well-positioned to contend in the NFC West.

Arizona Cardinals Super Bowl Odds

The Cardinals will open the regular season as longshots to win the Super Bowl.

Despite awarding Murray with a $230.5 million deal, the Cardinals come into Week 1 with +4000 odds to win Super Bowl 2023.

That gives the Cardinals the 18th-best Super Bowl odds, tying them with the New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans.

The reigning Super Bowl champion Rams lead the division with the best NFC West odds at +130. Meanwhile, the 49ers and Cardinals aren’t far behind at +200 and +285 respectively.

Arizona Cardinals Prediction

The Cardinals have great weapons around Murray with A.J Green, Marquise Brown, and Rondale Moore to begin the 2022 NFL season.

However, Arizona’s star wide receiver Deandre Hopkins will be serving a six-week suspension after violating the NFL’s performance enhancement policy.

The Cardinals will have to face one of their most challenging regular season stretches without Hopkins. To begin the 2022 NFL season, Arizona will face three Super Bowl contenders taking on the Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, and Rams in consecutive weeks.

As a result, the Cardinals have one of the toughest schedules in the NFC. Hopkins is set to return during Week 7, which should be the easiest point in their schedule facing the Saints, Vikings, and Seahawks in a three-week span.

Then in the final eight games, Arizona will be up against seven Super Bowl contenders including the Tampa Buccaneers, Denver Broncos, and L.A Chargers, outside their division.

With one of the toughest schedules in the NFC and no sign of Hopkins to start the season, it’s easy to see how the Cardinals might struggle in the first six games of the year.

After dropping six of their last eight against the best teams in the NFL a year ago, it seems likely that this could be a down year in Arizona.

Take the Arizona Cardinals under 8.5 wins in 2022.
