Indianapolis Colts Prediction

With Jonathan Taylor at running back and Matt Ryan under center, the Colts should have the inside track on the AFC South crown in 2022.

The Colts haven’t won a division title in almost a decade but will catch a break after the reigning division champion Tennessee Titans elected to regroup in the offseason.

Tennessee traded its top two wide receivers, AJ Brown and Julio Jones, and didn’t replace them with any notable offensive weapons.

The Titans lost top pass rusher, Harold Landry, during the preseason.

Indianapolis has a chance to open the year with two winnable games against Jacksonville and Houston.

If the Colts can also sweep the season series against the Titans, they could wind up 5-2 heading into Week 8.

That should give Indianapolis enough leverage to win its first division title since 2014.

Indianapolis Colts Next Game Pick

The Colts have lost three straight games and the Raiders have lost two straight games.

Both teams are having a very disappointing season.

Indianapolis was expected to win the AFC South this season while Vegas was supposed to compete in the AFC West.

The Colts’ offense has been a disaster. They rank last in points per game and 30th in rushing yards per game.

Vegas’ defense ranks 27th in points allowed per game and 26th in passing yards allowed per game.

Unfortunately for Indy, Sam Ehlinger will not be able to take advantage of a weak Raiders’ pass defense.

Vegas’ offense has been average in points per game, passing yards per game, and rushing yards per game. Despite the fact of acquiring Davante Adams, this has not helped Vegas have a top-10 passing game in the league.

The Raiders will get the job done on offense and defense in this one against a weak opponent.

Playing at home against the lowly Colts, Vegas will win this game.

Our NFL experts predict the Raiders will win this matchup at home and they will cover the spread.

Indianapolis Colts Schedule and Results

Based on projected win totals, the Colts own the third easiest schedule in the NFL in 2022.

That should give Indianapolis a strong chance to compete in the AFC South. The Colts haven’t won the division since 2014 when Andrew Luck was still the quarterback.

Now, with Matt Ryan under center, Indianapolis will try to make it back to the NFL Playoffs.

2022 Indianapolis Colts Regular Season Schedule

The Indianapolis Colts will open the regular season with a pair of road games against AFC South teams in 2022.

First, the Colts will head on the road for a divisional showdown in Houston against the Texans in Week 1 before traveling to Jacksonville to battle the Jaguars the following week.

Then, Indianapolis will play four of its next six games at home, albeit against some tough teams.

The Colts return home in Week 3 for their home opener against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Then, they will play the Titans in Week 4 and Week 7, which could set the tone for the remainder of their season.

Sandwiched in between those two games are meetings in Denver against the Broncos (Week 5) and another home matchup versus Jacksonville (Week 6).

Things will get even tougher for the Colts before their bye week in Week 14.

Beginning in Week 9, the Colts will play New England, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Dallas before getting a much-needed week off.

However, the schedule starts to lighten up late in the season, as the Colts will play Minnesota, Los Angeles, New York, and Houston to close out the year.
