Las Vegas Raiders Futures Odds

Vegas finished second in the AFC West with a 10-7 record last season. They went 3-3 against division opponents.

While Las Vegas has a well rounded team and got better in the offseason, the Raiders are in the toughest division in football. Adding Chandler Jones was a good move on defense and they added Davante Adams, which should help Derek Carr take a step forward under center.

Despite their offseason acquisitions, the Raiders are still arguably the worst team in the AFC West.

The top online sportsbooks are projecting the Vegas Raiders for 8.5 wins in 2022. With the over 8.5 wins is set at -145 and the under set at +115, the top sports betting sites are projecting that the Raiders will win 1-2 fewer games than they did a season ago.

According to the best NFL betting sites, the Raiders have the worst chance to win the AFC West at +500 odds.

With the playoffs seemingly out of reach, Las Vegas ranks around the middle of the league in terms of its chances to hoist the Lombardi Trophy with +3300 odds to win the Super Bowl.

Las Vegas Raiders Division Odds

The Las Vegas Raiders were second in the division with a 10-7 record last season.

Kansas City won the division with a 12-5 record. While the Chiefs will be dealing with some new faces on offense in 2022, they remain slight favorites to win the division once again at +180 odds.

The LA Chargers were third in the division with a 9-8 record but are expected to take a step forward under quarterback Justin Herbert this year. As a result, the Chargers are a close second with a +225 odd to win the AFC West this season.

In 2021, Denver finished last in the AFC West standings with a 7-10 record and failed to make the NFL Playoffs. However, after acquiring star quarterback Russell Wilson in the offseason, Denver comes in with +265 odds to win the division under new ownership.

At a somewhat distant fourth place, the Raiders own +500 odds to win the AFC West in 2022.

Las Vegas Raiders Team Wins

Last season, the Las Vegas Raiders had a 10-7 record and finished second in the division. They snuck into the playoffs by defeating the LA Chargers in the final game of the regular season.

The Raiders also got better on both sides of the ball in the offseason, acquiring Davante Adams and Chandler Jones.

The problem is that the Chargers and Broncos also improved considerably and the Chiefs still have Patrick Mahomes, which leaves the Raiders with one of the most challenging paths to the postseason.

Based on projected win totals, Las Vegas owns the third toughest schedule in the NFL, which is one of the reasons why the Raiders are only projected for 8.5 wins.

Las Vegas Raiders Prediction

The Raiders finished with a 10-7 overall record and made the playoffs by going 3-3 in the division and 8-4 against AFC opponents.

However, things will be a lot tougher on the Raiders in 2022, as AFC West is widely expected to be the best division in football with four possible playoff teams. Las Vegas will need to go at least 3-3 or better in its division to win it, which could be a tall task Josh McDaniels in his first year as head coach.

The first five weeks will be very difficult for the Raiders before an early Week 6 bye .

Three division matchups are on tap for the Raiders in the first five weeks.

Las Vegas will be on the road against the LA Chargers in Week 1.

Then, the Raiders will host an AFC West battle against the Denver Broncos in Week 4 before heading on the road for a matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5. They also face the Arizona Cardinals at home in Week 2 and will be on the road against the Tennessee Titans in Week 3, setting up for a very challenging slate of early season games.

Weeks 7-10 are less challenging for Las Vegas.

Following a week 6 bye, the Raiders get a home matchup against the Houston Texans in Week 7. Then, Las Vegas will play the New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Indianapolis Colts in consecutive weeks.

Weeks 11-14 bring on three very difficult matchups once again.

Sandwiched between an easy game against Seattle in Week 12, the Raiders will play the Broncos (Week 11), Chargers (Week 13) and defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams (Week 14).

Things don’t get easier down the stretch of the season either.

Weeks- 15-17 will include games against New England, Pittsburgh, and San Francisco, which could ultimately decide the fate of the Raiders’ season.

The final game of the year is a home divisional matchup against the Chiefs.

Here is a list of possible wins for the Raiders in 2022:

  • Week 7 vs Houston Texans
  • Week 9 @ Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Week 10 vs Indianapolis Colts
  • Week 12 @ Seattle Seahawks
  • Week 15 vs New England Patriots
  • Week 16 @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Vegas has a very difficult schedule this year and it will be very difficult to match their 10-win total from last season.

Six games on the schedule are easy wins and while Vegas could win a couple more tough games, they will likely finish with fewer than 8.5 wins.

Take the under 8.5 wins for Vegas.

Las Vegas Raiders Next Game Pick

Las Vegas is on a three-game losing streak and Denver has lost five out of their last six games.

Competing in the AFC West is out of the question for both teams and so does making the playoffs for either team.

This has been a disaster of a season for both teams that had very high expectations at the beginning of the season.

Denver’s offense has been brutal. They rank last in points per game and 25th in rushing yards per game.

Russell Wilson is completing just 57.5% of his passes. He has just seven passing TDs and five interceptions in eight games.

The Raiders’ defense has not been good at all this season. They rank 28th in points allowed per game, 26th in passing yards allowed per game, and 21st in rushing yards allowed per game.

Adding Davante Adams has not helped Derek Carr much. He is completing just 62.4% of his passes and he is averaging only 236.4 passing yards per game.

Adams has eight receiving TDs. No other player has more than two receiving TDs on the season for Las Vegas.

This will be a lower-scoring divisional matchup.

Playing at home, Denver will win this matchup and cover the spread.

Our NFL experts predict the Broncos will win this matchup at home and they will cover the spread.

2022 Las Vegas Raiders Regular Season Schedule

The Raiders’ schedule is very challenging this year and they won’t be able to escape having six games against AFC West opponents.

Games versus the Texans, Jaguars, Colts, Seahawks, and Steelers should be considered easy wins for Las Vegas.

However, the key to the Raiders’ season will be how they perform against the rest of the division.

Every AFC West divisional game will be challenging and could ultimately decide the fate of the Raiders’ season in 2022.

Check out some of the key games on the Raiders schedule below.

  • Week 4 vs Denver Broncos
  • Week 5 @ Kansas City Chiefs
  • Week 11 @ Denver Broncos
