det

Keep up to date with all the Los Angeles Rams 2017 Free Agency news here at Rams Headquarters.

The Los Angeles Rams head into this free agency with urgency to help the offense. It’s time to build around QB Jared Goff as the Rams main targets should be on the offensive line, and a couple of wide receivers to give Goff more options.

On the defensive side, corner-backs, safety and linebacker would be nice to fill as the Los Angeles Rams will now play a 3-4 defense. Below are list of players who the Rams recently signed, or now former Rams finding a new career elsewhere.

Free Agents

WR Stedman Bailey

WR Kenny Britt  – The Cleveland Browns have signed veteran wide receiver Kenny Britt to a four-year, $32.5 million contract, a source told ESPN’s Adam Caplan.

RB Benny Cunningham – March 9 Update: Benny is on his way to visit with the New York Jets

CB Trumaine JohnsonIan Rapoport of NFL Network reported Tuesday the Rams have discussed deals for Johnson with “several teams,” though it appears nothing is imminent. Remember the Rams have franchise tagged Johnson.

QB Case Keenum

T.J. McDonaldRams are not expected to bring back safety T.J. McDonaldESPN.com’s Alden Gonzalez writes. I have McDonald ranked as the No. 40 free agent on my Top 50 list, in terms of earning power. He’s not my favorite safety in this year’s free agent crop, but he is young and his hard-hitting style should translate into dollars.

WR Brian Quick

RB Chase Reynolds

DL Cam Thomas

Greg Zuerlein

Restricted free agents

DL Dominique Easley: The Rams applied a low-level, original-round tender to restricted free-agent defensive tackle Dominique Easley, profootballtalk.com reported Tuesday, citing a league source. The tender offer is worth $1.797 million, and Los Angeles would earn a first-round draft pick if another teams signs Easley to an offer sheet the team doesn’t want to match.

DL Ethan Westbrooks:  Was arrested Sunday night in Sacramento after he was accused of domestic violence, according to Sacramento police.

Released

C Tim Barnes: The Rams have decided to say goodbye to their starting center, Tim Barnes. Barnes’ agent announced on Twitter that the team told him today it would release Barnes, who had one year left on his contract.

TE Lance Kendricks: Rams released TE Lance Kendricks late Thursday night. Kendricks was a second-round pick for the Rams in the 2011 NFL Draft.

DL Eugene Sims: Sims was also let go the same time with Kendricks. Sims was a sixth-round pick for the Rams in the 2010 NFL Draft.

RB Tre Mason and Trey Watts: The Rams waived RB Tre Mason from reserve/did not report and RB Trey Watts from reserve/suspended.

TRADED

DE William Hayes: The Los Angeles Rams have traded DE William Hayes and their early seventh-round selection, #223 overall, to the Miami Dolphins for their sixth-round pick, #206 overall.

Welcome To Los Angeles

LT: Andrew Whitworth: Per Adam Schefter the Rams signed Bengals offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth. This is a huge deal for the Rams who came into the off-season desperate for a veteran presence on the offensive line so Jared Goff can have some semblance of a prayer. The deal is three years $36 million dollars with $15 million in guarantees $13 million in year one and $2.5 million of which would come in year two.

WR: Robert Woods: Former Bills WR Robert Woods is returning to LA, to the Rams, per sources. Back in the Coliseum, like at USC. Robert Woods signed a 5-year, $39 million deal, including $15 million guaranteed, with Rams, per sources.

QB Aaron Murray:  Former Georgia stand out Aaron Murray is reuniting with his star back Todd Gurley and will likely be the third string QB for Jared Goff.
