The Giants have not had a winning season since 2016.
While the NFC East hasn’t been a strong division, the Giants have finished in last place in the division for three of the last five years.
The best online sportsbooks are predicting another disappointing season for the Giants in 2022.
According to BetOnline, the Giants are among the teams with the worst odds to win Super Bowl 2023 at +12500.
While the Giants finished with a 4-13 record last year, the best NFL betting sites have New York projected for 7.5 wins.
That means New York is projected to nearly double its win total in 2022.
Even though the Giants are projected to finish near the bottom of the NFC East, New York is expected to make some improvements against one of the easiest schedules in the NFL.

New York Giants Super Bowl Odds
Heading into Week 1 of the NFL regular season, the Giants have the fifth worst Super Bowl odds at +12500.

New York Giants Division Odds
The NFC East has been a revolving door over the last couple of years.
While the division has some of the most historic franchises in NFL history, it’s become one of the weaker divisions in the NFC.
The best offshore sports betting sites have the Dallas Cowboys as the favorites with +130 odds. While the Cowboys have a strong franchise quarterback and are a great team on paper, they’ve been forced to battle injuries once again this year.
On the other hand, the Giants are predicted to finish at the bottom division and have the lowest odds to win the NFC East at +750.
The Giants have the easiest schedule in the league, according to our NFL experts, but they remain a long shot to win the NFC East.

In 2021, the New York Giants finished with one of the worst records in the NFL.
With a 4-13 overall mark, the Giants were tied with the New York Jets and Houston Texans for the third worst record in the league.
The Giants struggled on the road finishing with a 1-8 record away from MetLife Stadium and will need to improve in that area under new head coach Brian Daboll in 2022.
The Giants head into the 2022 NFL season projected for 7.0 wins.
While it’s an improvement from last year, New York isn’t expected to hoist the Lombardi Trophy anytime soon.

The Giants’ offseason wasn’t about player acquisition, but rather a coaching staff purge.
New York hired general manager Joe Schoen, who is a former Buffalo Bills assistant GM.
Schoen was instrumental in building the Bills into what they are today.
Since that hire, the Giants have replaced most of the coaching staff, including replacing their head coach. While Joe Judge was received well by fans last season, it took a turn for the worst by the end of the season.
To replace Judge, Schoen hired Buffalo Bills offensive coach Brian Daboll. With a new system in place, the Giants are expected to flash improvement compared to last season.
Daboll will have a tough task to turn around this Giants team and will also be under pressure from Giants fans. Even though a Lombardi trophy might be out of the question this year, fans in New York are still expecting better than a 4-13 regular season.
Perhaps more importantly, Daboll will be tasked with getting the most out of quarterback Daniel Jones.
Despite facing some playoff-caliber teams early in the season, the Giants have an easier schedule after their bye week in Week 9.
Even with an easy schedule, the Giants only went 1-5 last year against division opponents last year.
If New York can’t win games within its division, it will have a hard time inching closer to the .500-mark.
Take the New York Giants under 7.0 wins.

New York Giants Next Game Pick
The NY Giants have been one of the best stories of the NFL season.
Despite not retooling the roster, head coach Brian Daboll has been able to turn the Giants from a 4-13 team to a 6-2 team in less than a year.
The Giants should be able to continue their success at home against a Texans’ team that appears to be tanking down the stretch.
Houston owns the NFL’s worst rush defense and the Giants’ offense is predicated on running the football, which makes this a bad matchup for Lovie Smith and the Texans.
Take the Giants to cover the spread at home in this battle on Sunday.

New York Giants Schedule and Results
The New York Giants will look to rebuild their franchise this year.
While they finished last in the division last year, the Giants have completed a front office makeover from the general manager down to the coaching staff.
The expectations aren’t high for the Giants this year but they are projected to improve on their 4-13 record from last season. New York is projected for 7.0 wins in 2022 and could end up with a winning record if the ball bounces its way in 2022.
The Giants will begin the season with a healthy roster this year and running back Saquon Barkley is looking to finally have a breakout season after being injured in 2019.
In addition, there are rumors floating around that Odell Beckham Jr may return to the Giants. While Beckham Jr is still recovering from his ACL injury, he only signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams last year, making him a restricted free agent.

2022 New York Giants Preseason Schedule
The Giants finished the preseason with a 2-1 record.
After winning back-to-back games, New York concluded the exhibition schedule with a 31-27 loss versus the New York Jets.
With the preseason coming to an end, many NFL teams like the Giants are letting their backups get some reps ahead of the regular season.
Davis Webb played well during the preseason. He threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns on 22-of-27 pass attempts versus the Bengals and added another 202 passing yards in the loss to the Jets.

The Giants can get comfortable at home to start the season, as four of their first six games will be played at MetLife Stadium. However, the Giants were also selected to take on the Green Bay Packers in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during Week 5.
Following a trip to London, New York will need to rebound quickly, as it will return home to take on Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6.
While Week 5 and 6 will be the hardest stretch on their schedule, the Giants will play five NFC East division games after their bye week in Week 9.
This should give New York some extra time to prepare for its games against NFC East opponents.
Check out some of the key games on the Giants’ schedule below.
Key Giants Games To Watch in 2022
- Week 5 vs Green Bay Packers
- Week 6 vs Baltimore Ravens
- Week 12 @ Dallas Cowboys
- Week 15 @ Washington Commanders
- Week 18 @ Philadelphia Eagles
New York will face easy out-of-division opponents along the way including Houston, Detroit, and Minnesota. They will also have a chance to shake up the NFC East during the latter half of the season.
The Giants are projected to finish last in the division but they will be able to control their own destiny over the final eight weeks.
From Week 12 to 15, the Giants will only be playing against division rivals from the NFC East. With the ability to focus on their division in a concentrated time, the Giants should be able to improve on their 1-5 divisional record from last season.
