New York Jets Team Wins

Last season, the New York Jets had a 4-13 record and finished last in the division.

New York is hoping Zach Wilson will improve in Year 2 and show signs of being a franchise quarterback.

However, after suffering an injury during training camp, Wilson won’t be available for the Jets’ Week 1 game versus the Baltimore Ravens.

The Jets are projected for 5.5 wins in 2022 with the over heavily favored at -160 odds.

New York Jets Prediction

New York finished 4-13 last season and went 0-6 against division opponents in 2021.

The Jets are not nearly as good as the other three teams in the division and could easily go 0-6 against division opponents again in 2022.

From Weeks 1-9, it is likely that the Jets will be underdogs in every game, and with quarterback Zach Wilson injured, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see New York lose all nine games.

New York will kick off the regular season with a tough task versus the Baltimore Ravens. Week 2 will also be a tough test on the road at Cleveland, which could set the tone for the Jets’ season. New York will be back at home week 3 against the Cincinnati Bengals before taking on the Steelers in Pittsburgh in Week 4.

Next, the Jets have a divisional matchup at home vs the Miami Dolphins in Week 5, back-to-back road matchups in versus the Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos in Weeks 6 and 7. Then, New York will take on two division rivals at home with games against New England and Buffalo in Weeks 8 and 9.

That could spell trouble for the Jets, who could end up with an 0-9 record before their Week 10 bye week.

Their schedule gets a little bit easier after the bye week with a few winnable games on the schedule.

Here is a list of possible wins for the Jets in 2022:

  • Week 12 vs Chicago Bears
  • Week 15 vs Detroit Lions
  • Week 16 vs Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Week 17 @ Seattle Seahawks

The 5.5 win total is a bit high for the Jets. They only have four winnable games on a tough schedule and play in a good division.

New York only won four games last year and it will be a difficult task for them to win two more games this year than they did last year.

Take the under 5.5 wins for New York in 2022.

New York Jets Next Game Pick

Winners of four straight games, the Bills will try to extend their winning streak on the road against the upstart NY Jets.

New York is coming off of its first loss with second-year quarterback Zach Wilson under center. Last week, the Jets came up short in a tough 22-17 loss at home against the division-rival New England Patriots.

The loss of running back Breece Hall has undoubtedly hurt the Jets offense, as they’ve managed 17 points or fewer in each of their last two games.

That is simply not going to be enough to get the job done against Josh Allen and company in this one.

Take the Bills to cover the 11-point spread on the road in New York on Sunday.
