NFL Week 1 Consensus Picks

Best NFL Week 1 Bet — Pittsburgh Steelers +6.5
The Cincinnati Bengals come into the 2022 NFL season with plenty of hype following their first Super Bowl appearance since 1989.
However, teams that have lost in the Super Bowl in the previous year have performed poorly in the following season.
The aforementioned Super Bowl curse could be coming for the Bengals, who are expected to get even better after upgrading their offensive line in the offseason.
Quarterback Joe Burrow missed most of training camp and the preseason after undergoing surgery to remove his appendix. Burrow won’t get long to shake off the rust, as he will be tested early on by a strong Steelers’ defense that is led by reigning Defensive Player of the Year TJ Watt.
With Mitchell Trubisky starting under center, Pittsburgh comes into Week 1 as 6.5-point underdogs on the road in Cincinnati. While Trubisky isn’t going to light up the scoreboard, he should be able to do enough to keep this game close. After two years of sitting behind Josh Allen in Buffalo, the former No. 2 overall pick will be hungry to show that he still belongs as a starter in the NFL.
