Oakland raiders are a professional football team that competes in the NFL as a West Division, AFC team. The home ground of the Raiders is Oakland Alameda Coliseum. Raiders have struggled in their early years but they have transformed themselves into great team now. The earlier years they moved to LA and were called the LA Raiders. From 1982 to 1994 the raider’s home was Los Angeles before they relocated to Oakland. They struggled in their earlier years between 84 and 89’. In 1989 the negotiations between the owners and Oakland administration begin in order to bring the raiders to Oakland. The deal came to a close in 1991 but fell out due to minor administrative glitches causing rage and anger amongst fans.

However, the deal got back on its feet in 1995 when Davis, the owner of the Raiders signed a letter of intent to move the raiders back to Oakland. The team now plays in the NFL as the Oakland Raiders since the relocation. In the current season when the NFL moves into the sixth week, the Raiders are holding a 4-1 record. This is the first time they have been on 4-1 since the 2002 season after their win over San Diego Chargers last weekend.

The head coach in his recap to the win said “I think we have a healthy perspective of what we want to look like and knowing that we’re not quite there. There is a lot of work here in front of us. I don’t think anybody would disagree with that. There is a long season in front of us, a lot of things we must do better as we go forward. We’re working hard at it. We’ll continue that. I think the fact that the guys recognize that is a healthy thing.”

This shows that he will not stop at 4-1 and will try to go all the way with his solid defense strategy.
