How ShredCBD Helped Me Become a Better CrossFit Athlete – My ShredCBD Review

As a fitness enthusiast or athlete, there are so many supplements to choose from, that claim to help you become a better athlete. There are a variety of ways that these supplements claim to help you. This could be with fat loss, build muscle, stamina, etc… In this ShredCBD Review, I’m going to take a look at the ways this ShredCBD (and CBD) benefitted me as a Crossfit athlete.

For me, especially after I started with CrossFit, I realized that physical fitness was not enough to make me a better athlete. CrossFit involves very strenuous workouts where you’re doing compound movements such as burpees repeatedly. Anyone who’s done a lot of high intensity workouts can attest to how difficult it is to keep your focus and motivation during the exercises.

I have also had trouble with sleep after I had started CrossFit. The high intensity workouts meant that I had a lot of adrenaline and boundless energy after the workout that kept me awake.

So, when I was searching for supplements, I was looking for ones that helped me holistically, with things such as:

  1. Fat Loss– This was my main goal for starting CrossFit in the first place, as I was slim but had a high body fat percentage.
  2. Better Sleep– I wanted something that helped me calm down my restlessness after workouts and get sounder sleep. Not only is better sleep, good for your focus and overall mental health, but good sleep can significantly improve your body’s recovery process. This directly improves physical performance.
  3. Reduce Anxiety– CrossFit has competitions that you can take part in and those competition nerves can be really frightening! They can make or break your performance. Outside the competitions, keeping calm can really help push your physical boundaries and keep you more focused and motivated to get through your workout.
  4. It should be Legal– It was important that if I wanted to participate in competitions, that any supplement I was using has no banned substances.

I chose ShredCBD because it ticked all these boxes. It was one of the few supplements that was designed to improve your physical and mental fitness.

Despite being made from Cannabis, ShredCBD uses an isolated Cannabidoid. Which has no unwanted side effects, like wanting to eat or feeling ‘stoned’.

 

What is ShredCBD?

So, I did some research for my write up here…

In a nutshell, ShredCBD is a CBD-based supplement that is formulated to improve your physical performance as well as giving you the mental strength to achieve your fitness goals. The main ingredient in ShredCBD is cannabidiol, a compound that is also found in Cannabis.

However, cannabis also contains THC (9-tetrahydrocannabinol), the potent compound that is responsible with the ‘highs’ in marijuana.

The harmful effects of THC such as an increased appetite and reduced focus overshadow any beneficial effects of CBD when found in the Cannabis plant. So, CBD needs to be isolated and consumed on its own to reap its full benefits.

In addition to CBD, ShredCBD also contains other natural ingredients such as green tea extract (helps with mental fitness- retaining focus and calming anxiety) and Garcinia cambogia (to help with fat loss).

 

My Experience with ShredCBD

Any athlete or fitness fanatic would tell you that building up mental strength is just as or if not more, important than building up physical strength. If you get your mind in order, building up your physical stamina is relatively effortless.

With CrossFit, you have workouts where you do as many reps as possible in a certain time. And we’re not just talking push ups and pull ups like people think. It’s fuc*ing demanding.

Anyone who’s done that will tell you how easy it is to lose focus while doing that! You feel jittery, restless and on the verge of giving up.

It’s not just during workouts that you’ll need to maintain a calm composure. During CrossFit competitions, you’re expected to do gruelling workout sequences in front of an audience.

Doing a 10m handstand walk in front of your coach is one thing but doing it in front of a room full of people staring at you is another ball game altogether.

I have always been full of nerves in ordinary situations, let alone a CrossFit competition!

 

How ShredCBD Helped Me As An Athlete

These are the areas where ShredCBD helped me the most, the mental aspects of being a CrossFit athlete. As I started using ShredCBD, I felt noticeable improvements in my mental strength during work outs.

I was more focused and nowhere near as restless as when I was working out before using ShredCBD. As there are no stimulants, I didn’t have the jitters and nerves I usually have while working out.  

I was able to push past my personal bests in a lot of the workout sequences and didn’t feel like giving up when I was trying to reach a new personal best.

I also felt a noticeable change in my sleep patterns. Because I wasn’t so restless as before, my sleep was more ‘focused’. Before, I had a hundred different thoughts and feelings running through my head before I finally fell asleep. Now, I fall asleep faster and got sleep of a better quality.

As I was now getting better sleep and my body was able to recuperate properly, my muscles and body were nowhere near as sore as they were before. With CrossFit, there are a lot of exercises that can be quite taxing on both your muscles and joints. Exercises such as box jumps, squat jumps and burpees, with olympic lifts too, all have heavy impact on the joints.

So, it is even more important that the body has time to recover from physically gruelling CrossFit routines.

Apart from the mental benefits I saw after using ShredCBD, I also noticed a quicker loss in my body fat percentage (though I didn’t see any significant changes in my weight) while using ShredCBD compared to when I was doing the same exercise routines before with no supplements.

It would make sense since ShredCBD contains green tea extract and CBD which aid in fat loss.

Finally, the most important thing about ShredCBD is that it contains less than 0.1% THC which is well below the legal limits in Europe and the US. This means I don’t need to worry about it during competitions. The THC level is far below the limit set by WADA (the World Anti-Doping Agency), so it is perfectly safe for athletes.

On the other hand, Brown Adipose Tissue (BAT) is a more metabolically active form of fat that is ready to be used during physical activity. It is converted to energy very easily. People who are more physically active have higher levels of BAT compared to WAT. Cortisol also helps your body cling on to calories and fat, by tricking your metabolism into thinking there’s a food shortage.

They can counteract any inflammation caused by mental or physical stress to your joints during intense workouts, hence, allowing you to recover faster.

To conclude, I would say that athletes should not just focus on improving their physical performance. Mental strength has just as much impact on your fitness success, if not more. Ill be sticking with ShredCBD from now on, as you can probably tell from my ShredCBD Review, despite some of its minor flaws. The cost might seem a bit expensive when compared to other supps, but comparatively to other CBD tinctures its not so bad. Im kind of invested in the brand too, they have ace customer service and have been so helpful.

ShredCBD for Crossfit Athletes – My Last Word

So there you have it. Basically if you are looking to experience the benefits of CBD, and I strongly suggest you do, I’d recommend you take a look at ShredCBD. It’s basically the safest option and combines other natural ingredients that give it more of a kick than oils and other stuff.
