As a restricted free agent, Donatas Motiejunas has been the subject of months and months of speculation. Yet now it appears the Motiejunas Saga is finally be over. ESPN reports the big man is close to signing an off-sheet offer from the Brooklyn Nets. To keep Motiejunas, the Houston Rockets would have to match the offer within three days. A deal is expected very soon.
The 26 year old power forward has been in a stalemate with the Houston Rockets since July after failing a medical with the Detroit Pistons. Due to a recurring back problem, Motiejunas has been unable to find an offer he feels is good enough on the free-agent market.
Nerlens Noel has hinted that he would like to move away from Philadelphia 76ers. According to reports in several news outlets, the Portland Trail Blazers are interested in acquiring the services of the former No. 6 overall pick out of Kentucky.
