Three NFL rookies with most to prove in Week 3 of preseason

The third week of the NFL preseason is already here, meaning it won’t be long until the start of the regular season. As is the case with most preseason games, the rookies get a chance to fine-tune their skills before the games actually mean something.

Some rookies might decide the outcome of games next season, so it’s important they put in the extra work during the preseason. Knowing which rookies are performing well can be important when making wagers at a site like http://norske-casino.eu/gratis-casino-spill/. Here are three rookies with a lot to prove this week.

Ezekiel Elliott

Elliott, the fourth overall pick, will play his first game for the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday against the Seattle Seahawks. Elliot’s debut was a couple of weeks late because he has been nursing a sore hamstring. Expectations are high for the former Ohio State standout to shine behind arguably the best offensive line in football. Elliot needs a nice debut on Thursday to get him ready for the regular season.

Kevin Dodd

The second pick of the second round, No. 33 overall, Dodd will make his debut for the Tennessee Titans on Saturday against the Oakland Raiders. The former Clemson standout missed most of training camp and the first two preseason games after having surgery for a stress fracture in his right foot. Dodd’s first game will be even more challenging, as he is transitioning from playing defensive end to outside linebacker.

Roberto Aguayo

Of all the rookies, Aguayo probably has the most pressure on him. The second-round pick missed an extra point and two field goals in his first two preseason games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also missed three field goals in practice this week, and the Bucs fans booed him loudly. On Friday against the Cleveland Browns, Aguayo has an opportunity to silence the critics by making some kicks. Otherwise, bettors might not trust the rookie kicker when playing the Bucs’ odds on Sundays.
