Dallas Cowboys’ QB Tony Romo is back at practice, and the QB controversy is growing more complex by the day. For rookie Dak Prescott, though, things may not be as tumultuous as they appear from the outside. He was asked about it, and he said:
“Nothing changes for me. I’m the same guy no matter from now to the point I was a third-string guy coming in in OTAs. Nothing changes. Nothing’s going to be different from the way I approach the game.”
He was then asked if he felt he should retain the starting job – he’s led the Cowboys to a 7-1 record – because he’d done enough to earn it. He said:
“I don’t really think about if I’ve done enough or what I’ve done. I just think about coming in each and every day and working my butt off in practice, giving this team a chance throughout the week so we can go out there and have a chance to win on Sunday.”
He also noted that:
“I’m not going to change what the situation is. It’s my love and my passion for this game. The way that I approach it, I don’t care who’s the other guy or what’s going on around me, what the record is, what my last performance was, it’s all about how I can get better in my next play.”
Certainly, he’s saying all the right things, though he has to be wondering if he’ll get to stay in control of this team going forward.

Dak’s the man. That’s the kind of character combined with talent we could have used in San Francisco.
Blaine is a stand up guy, but doesn’t take chances.
Kap used to be at the top of his game, but has regressed each year.
Dak has the right approach to being a Franchise QB.
