He has been quoted many times that the new GM will pick the coach.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>While that might be true, I believe the new GM will be encouraged by Taylor to give strong consideration to retaining Kevin McHale.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>McHale and Taylor have had a great relationship. Taylor has a lot of respect for McHale and his basketball knowledge. Taylor previously had said the choice to keep coaching was McHale&#8217;s before backing off on that statement.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><em>It&#8217;s my opinion that if McHale wants the job and Taylor will pay him a salary similar to what Flip Saunders is receiving from Washington &#8212; $18 million over four years &#8212; that McHale will remain the coach of the Wolves.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>From the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/hostednews\/ap\/article\/ALeqM5gXDTVTofe4QZIF2cP60Qx6-ADRPgD985JC0G0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Associated Press:<\/a><\/div>\n<div><em>Los Angeles Sparks star Candace Parker has given birth to a baby girl.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><em>It is the first child for the WNBA&#8217;s reigning MVP and rookie of the year and husband Shelden Williams of the Minnesota Timberwolves.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><em>Goodwin Sports Management announced the baby girl was born in Los Angeles on Wednesday. She weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20 inches long.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>&#8220;Shelden and I are thrilled,&#8221; Parker said in a release. &#8220;This is such a life changing moment for us, we feel blessed to have a healthy and beautiful baby girl.&#8221;<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nba.com\/timberwolves\/news\/Cardinal_BlueCollar_Worker-090513.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jonah Ballow\/Timberwolves site <\/a>on Brian Cardinal:<\/div>\n<div><em>Cardinal played the second-most games in his career and extended his range on the perimeter by shooting 32.6 percent from the 3-point line this past season. He improved in the final 19 contests, hitting 42 percent of his deep range attempts.
