Coming off the bench, Flynn did not have the same type of impact in the defeat but managed to thrill the Vegas crowd.<\/em><\/p>\n<p> <em>As the game clock winded down in the fourth quarter, Flynn eyed the basket, took couple dribbles, and then vaulted high above the rim with a windmill dunk. Before the highlight-reel finish, Flynn drained a 3-pointer to knock the Bulls lead to 86-81 at the 1:20 mark.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>From <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.niagara-gazette.com\/sports\/local_story_200230630.html\">Jonah Bronstein\/Niagara Gazette: <\/a><\/div>\n<div><em>Flynn said it felt good to learn he was named NBA Rookie of the Month.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt means I\u2019m getting acknowledged for the way I played out here,\u201d he told Timberwolves.com. \u201cIt means a lot of people took a liking to my game. I just don\u2019t want to be complacent. I want to keep getting better and working on my game.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Flynn won the award despite an underwhelming performance in Sunday\u2019s 93-85 loss to the Chicago Bulls. He scored seven points on 3 for 10 shooting. But he did record seven assists, and thrilled the crowd with a windmill dunk.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>From <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wivb.com\/dpp\/sports\/nba\/Flynn_Happens_in_Las_Vegas_20090718\">Paul Peck\/WIVB.com: <\/a><\/div>\n<div><em> &#8211; What happened in Las Vegas for Jonny Flynn, will stay with him as he takes the next step in his NBA career.\u00a0 Sunday night, Flynn finished his five game stint in the NBA&#8217;s Summer League.\u00a0 The Niagara Falls native played five games for the Timberwolves team, and averaged 15 points and 7.4 assists per game.\u00a0 He scored over 20 poitns in two of his last three games.\u00a0 Flynn showed the ability to drive to the basket, despite his six-foot size.\u00a0 He had a number of dunks, and also hit three pointers.\u00a0 His assist totals, including 14 in one game, show he&#8217;s still retained his point guard mindset despite also being asked to score. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>He was named the NBA Rookie of the month for his play in the summer league.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>From the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.startribune.com\/sports\/wolves\/51147507.html?elr=KArksD:aDyaEP:kD:aUq9_b9b_jEkP:QUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aUU\">Star Tribune:<\/a><\/div>\n<div><em>The Timberwolves concluded their stint in the Las Vegas Summer League with a 93-85 loss to the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>James Johnson and DeMarcus Nelson each scored 18 points to lead the Bulls, who led 43-34 at halftime.
