{"id":231519,"date":"2010-03-19T03:39:16","date_gmt":"2010-03-19T03:39:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vip.local\/2010\/03\/19\/wolves-lakers-qaa-qwith-maliceq\/"},"modified":"2023-06-02T17:32:49","modified_gmt":"2023-06-02T21:32:49","slug":"wolves-lakers-qaa-qwith-maliceq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thesportsdaily.com\/news\/wolves-lakers-qaa-qwith-maliceq\/","title":{"rendered":"Wolves-Lakers Q&amp;A: &#8220;With Malice&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/en\/9\/9a\/Los_Angeles_Lakers_logo.png\" alt=\"http:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/en\/9\/9a\/Los_Angeles_Lakers_logo.png\" width=\"392\" height=\"244\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As you all know, the Wolves throw down with the Lakers tomorrow night.\u00a0 Our fearless coach is returning to his homeland, and blah blah blah.\u00a0 I just hope we don&#8217;t lose by 50.\u00a0 But it&#8217;s certainly not out of the question.\u00a0 All these terrible games lately have really soured my disposition.\u00a0 We&#8217;ve lost by something like an average of 19 points the past 7 games.\u00a0 I hate the Lakers and can&#8217;t stand Kobe Bryant, and used to wish with every fiber of my being for the Wolves to beat them.\u00a0 Alas, it&#8217;s not really the case as much anymore because we&#8217;ve just been so uncompetitive the past few seasons. (P.S. Give us our team name back!)<\/p>\n<p>Enough about our ineptitude.\u00a0 I just enchanged some notes with Bloguin&#8217;s resident Lakers blogger Don, over at With Malice.\u00a0 You should all already know how awesome he is, as we&#8217;ve collaborated together before.\u00a0 If not&#8230; well let&#8217;s just say that he <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">sucks a lot less<\/span> is waaaaay cooler than most Lakers fans, especially since he lives in Japan.\u00a0 If you care to hear my responses to his questions, check out the article (and his blog) <a href=\"http:\/\/with-malice.com\/201003181201\/articles\/la-lakers\/twolves-at-lakers.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">by clicking HERE.<\/a> If you don&#8217;t care about me, I don&#8217;t blame you.\u00a0 If you want to see a hard-core Laker fan&#8217;s thoughts on our Wolves, than click <strong>Read More<\/strong> below.<\/p>\n<p><em>Please click<strong> &#8220;Read More&#8221; <\/strong>to see what Don has to say in response to my riveting questions&#8230;<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>CW: On a scale of 1 to 10, how badly do you dislike people that hate the Lakers, especially when having no real good reasons?\u00a0 Or does that come with the territory for fans of a franchise like LA?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WM<\/span>:<\/span> <\/strong>I think it&#8217;s weird.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t get the entire &#8220;I-hate-this-fan-because-they&#8217;re-team-X&#8221; thing.\u00a0 For me, even the Celtics.\u00a0 I participate in the BOO BOSTON BOO, because it&#8217;s fun.\u00a0 Not because I hate all Boston fans.\u00a0 One of my good friends &#8211; Rob, who occasionally writes at my site &#8211; is a Celtics fan.<\/p>\n<p>I get that people dislike LA tho&#8217;.\u00a0 I see it a lot.\u00a0 Pretty much I shrug it off, it&#8217;s simply hating the success.\u00a0 So I guess&#8230; a 3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CW: Does Kobe retire a Laker?\u00a0 If not, where does he go and how\/why?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WM<\/span>:<\/span> <\/strong>Kobe will retire a Laker.\u00a0 And I think in the end it&#8217;ll have more to do with legacy than money. (<strong>CW EDIT: Great point there Don.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I think he wants his name up with Magic, Kareem, Jerry &amp; co.\u00a0 Not elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CW: Do you know Lakers Reporter Mike Trudell?\u00a0 If so, thoughts on him and\/or his work?\u00a0 (He was formerly the official TWolves Reporter, you know.)\u00a0 P.S.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t say anything bad about him, he&#8217;s my homie.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WM<\/span>:<\/span> <\/strong>Yes, I do.\u00a0 Trudell&#8217;s the goods.\u00a0 I follow him on twitter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CW: Love or Jefferson.\u00a0 Who stays and who goes?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WM<\/span>:<\/span> <\/strong>Whilst I think Jefferson has the higher upside, it&#8217;d have to be Love who stays now, right?\u00a0 On that&#8230; you gotta be HATING the KG trade now, huh?<\/p>\n<p><strong>CW: If the Wolves were offering Al Jefferson for a trade, what&#8217;s your\/LA&#8217;s best offer?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">WM<\/span>:<\/span> <\/strong>Hopping on to the trusty ESPN Trade Machine&#8230; ok&#8230; well, the best I&#8217;d offer is Lamar\/Sasha.\u00a0 Maybe.\u00a0 Do you think if he was winning he&#8217;d be less injury-prone?
