Let’s give a few links tonight.<\/p>\n
First, if you’re a subscriber to XM Satellite Radio and an NHL fan, you’re in luck because it will carry every game of the season. This is the first year of a long term agreement. The NHL had been with Sirius up until last season. Orbitcast has that story<\/a>.<\/p>\n ESPNU has picked up 75,000 subscribers thanks to a new agreement with Armstrong Cable Systems<\/a>. The channel can now be seen on Armstrong systems in Western PA, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and Maryland.<\/p>\n Tim Ott of MLB.com has a story on TBS getting ready<\/a> to broadcast its first MLB postseason. Here are highlights of a TBS Conference Call<\/a> with the media involving Cal Ripken, Jr., Tony Gwynn and Chip Carey.<\/p>\n The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Bob Wolfley writes about the President’s Cup, Dan Dierdorf’s comments on Tony Kornheiser and Dan Marino being gracious about Brett Favre<\/a> tying his touchdown record.<\/p>\n The Iowa City Press-Citizen has the channel assignments for the Big Ten Network games at noon ET on both DirecTV and Dish Network<\/a>. I will also list them tomorrow when I list the College Football Viewing Picks.<\/p>\n Allan Kreda at Porfolio.com writes about Joe Theismann’s unceremonious bouncing from ESPN<\/a>.<\/p>\n Forbes Magazine lists the Top 40 Sports Brands in the World<\/a> and at number one is ESPN. I’m sure CNBC’s Darren Rovell will have his take on this tomorrow.
