It’s almost Thanksgiving, which means it’s time for me to reflect on what I’m thankful for in the Philly sports world. I’m going to break down team-by-team what I’m thankful for this year. This should be a brief story.

Eagles

Honestly, what have the Eagles given us to be thankful for? Pretty much nothing. There’s not many positive takeaways from this team. The offensive line is abysmal, the qaurterback play is mediocre, the run play hasn’t been good, and the defense just gave up 45 to Tampa Bay. Chip Kelly made this team a mess, and the worst part is that he may be the only man can fix it.

Flyers

Shayne Gostisbehere. The Future is bright. I like Dave Hakstol’s style, and I like that we have the capable players to be successful. I’m thankful for Claude Giroux shootout dangles, Jake Voracek puns, and Ghost’s walk-off overtime winners.

Phillies

Matt Klentak. Finally, Ruben Amaro Jr. is gone! The Phillies new general manager was only recently hired, but he’s already made a positive impact on the orginization. Klentak’s boldest move so far as active Phillies’ GM was acquiring pitcher Jeremy Hellickson from the Arizona Daimondbacks. I think hiring of Matt Klentak will prove to be the right move down the road.

Sixers

The young guns. Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor, more specifically. These two bigs are what make people turn on the television and watch the Sixers. They are who the Sixers are, and what the Sixers will be. Hopefully the Sixers can add Ben Simmons into the mix at the 2016 NBA Draft, but either way I’m thankful for the young guys and the man at the top, Sam Hinkie.
