That&#8217;s right- &#8220;Easter Chocolate On Clearance Monday&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Buckeye 411<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>And now&#8230; what?<\/strong> With all the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxsportsohio.com\/04\/02\/12\/NBA-next-logical-step-for-Sullinger\/landing_ohiostate.html?blockID=700540&amp;feedID=4015\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">speculation about Sully<\/a> and Tank&#8217;s departure, you might have missed that the Buckeyes may also have several hoopsters who are looking to transfer. Jeff Rapp looks at the <a href=\"http:\/\/sportsrappup.com\/sections\/stories\/12-04-03\/Sibert_Surveys_His_Future.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">possibilities surrounding Jordan Sibert and J.D. Weatherspoon<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Spring Has Sprung-<\/strong> Tuesday marked the Buckeye Spring Kickoff (<a href=\"http:\/\/www2.nbc4i.com\/sports\/2012\/apr\/03\/1\/osu-spring-kickoff-luncheon-83674-vi-39562\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>video here<\/em><\/a>), an auction and information session from Coach Meyer and the football staff. Several interesting tidbits today, including-<\/li>\n<li><strong>Captain, My Captain-<\/strong> Following the &#8220;Captain of the week&#8221; experiment, Coach Meyer said today that the voting would happen in the fall with him having veto power over the final decisions. This was followed by his remarking to John Simon &#8220;You&#8217;ll be a captain&#8221;.\u00a0 Let the man-crush continue.<\/li>\n<li><strong>First Among Equals-<\/strong> According to Coach Meyer, after Coach Marrioti the most important hire of the off season has been Coach Warinner, since the O Line is the lynch pin of everything that Ohio State hopes to do on offense. And, on Tuesday night we heard whispers that <a href=\"http:\/\/ohiostate.247sports.com\/Article\/Meyer-Nears-Big-OL-Commitment-68658\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Coach Warinner might just have a new member of the 2013 to prepare for<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Guy Behind The Guy Behind The Guy-\u00a0 <\/strong>Tim Hinton was introduced today as the staff&#8217;s recruiting coordinator. No pressure, I&#8217;m sure.\u00a0 Speaking of recruiting Coach Meyer called Coach Vrable one of the best in the country as a part of the event.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nothing Easy Is Worth A Damn-<\/strong> Meyer commented today that the staff&#8217;s goal is to run the most difficult program in America to ensure that the Buckeyes are the toughest team in the country.<!--more--><\/li>\n<li><strong>Video Evidence-\u00a0 <\/strong>In perusing the interwebs for great Ohio State videos, I discovered that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com\/sports\/m-footbl\/mtt\/quisenberry_mark00.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Video Coordinator Mark Quisenberry<\/a> has his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/bryceteagan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">own YouTube channel<\/a>, and has created some impressive clips that highlight not only current members of the team but also chronicle Ohio State&#8217;s football legacy.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s one to wet your appetite (<em>although I wish he&#8217;d included Harley<\/em>)- seriously,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/bryceteagan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> check them out<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Meanwhile, In Kentucky<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Let&#8217;s Get This Out Of The Way-<\/strong> Congrats to Big Blue Nation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ok, Now That That&#8217;s Out Of The Way<\/strong>&#8211; As a UK alumni who actually worked with the athletic program (<em>including hoops<\/em>), I&#8217;ve disassociated myself from the &#8216;Kats over the past few years. First and foremost, I came to my senses and decided that having a &#8220;second team&#8221; was beyond ridiculous. Second, I couldn&#8217;t find myself supporting a program who hired a coach that seemed, well, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/sports\/college\/mensbasketball\/2009-08-20-calipari_N.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">at least a bit sketchy<\/a>. But you know what? My perspective has changed a bit over the past week. Granted, I&#8217;m still not a fan, but I&#8217;ve come to understand what Cal is about- Kentucky wanted to win a title, and didn&#8217;t care how they got there. The NBA has a stupid rule about players needing one year of college, and <a href=\"http:\/\/deadspin.com\/5898339\/john-calipari-the-first-honest-coach\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Calipari offers them the chance to win a title during that one year<\/a>.\u00a0 In a culture where Earle Bruce can get canned for not beating TTUN enough, this is the end of that logical progression. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.grantland.com\/story\/_\/id\/7744477\/john-calipari-anthony-davis-kentucky-march-final-four-means-college-basketball\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">It also highlights the hypocrisy of the NCAA<\/a>&#8230; There&#8217;s no way you can justify the &#8220;Scholar-Athlete&#8221; model when the highest profile persons with that tag are only around long enough to figure out how to take one semester of &#8220;staying eligible&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li><strong>So, Like I Was Sayin&#8217;-<\/strong> Congrats Kentucky. The Coach you paid a lot for put together an AAU team that wears the colors that are affiliated with the state institution where you live and they won a championship.
