Price snapped Justin Verlander\u2019s seven-year streak of openers.<\/p>\n<p>The offense showed some pop, with home runs by J.D. Martinez and Alex Avila off Phil Hughes, while Yoenis Cespedes doubled, tripled and scored twice in his Detroit debut. After an off day on Tuesday, the Tigers will put Anibal Sanchez on Wednesday, followed by Shane Greene on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Which takes the Tigers to their first weekend series of the season against the Cleveland Indians, who are one of the few teams pegged to challenge the Tigers for their division title streak. Detroit plays in Cleveland for three games, April 10<sup>th<\/sup>, 11<sup>th<\/sup> and 12<sup>th<\/sup> and will face the 2014 AL Cy Young Award winner, Corey Kluber, in the final matchup.<\/p>\n<p>It will be Detroit\u2019s first road series of the season, which you can attend by booking your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hipmunk.com\/Flights-to-Cleveland-OH\">flights to Cleveland through Hipmunk.com<\/a>. According to TiqIQ.com, it is by far the most expensive <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tiqiq.com\/mlb\/detroit-tigers-tickets\">Detroit Tigers tickets<\/a> of the three games, with an average ticket price of $194.01, compared to an average ticket price of $68.93 and $48 for the following two games. The walk-in prices are $70, $23 and $12 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>After two road series against Cleveland and the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Tigers will enjoy a stretch of 10 consecutive home games.
