It was an all-around great effort on both sides of the ball. We finally saw the team we had been expecting since the dismantling of Oklahoma, which seemed forever-ago.<\/p>\n
But did we see everything we wanted?<\/p>\n
Scott<\/strong><\/p>\n A win:<\/strong> Never in doubt.<\/p>\n Offensive explosion:<\/strong> I asked for 40 or more points on the Cornhuskers, 300 in the air and 250 on the ground as well? I was dang close. Missed it by 12 rushing yards.<\/p>\n No false starts:<\/strong> Yay! I don’t recall seeing one.<\/p>\n Silver bullets return:<\/strong> A pair of picks returned for TDs and three points. Nailed that one.<\/p>\n WVa<\/strong><\/p>\n Offensive onslaught:<\/strong> An onslaught it was. Never let up, not even with the backups in late.<\/p>\n Defensive dominance:<\/strong> One of the most dominating defensive efforts I have seen from this team in a long time. Quick off the ball, quick too the ball.<\/p>\n Don\u2019t let them hang around:<\/strong> After OSU made it 14-3, that was it. Never threatened again.<\/p>\n Mike Meals<\/strong><\/p>\n Awesome environment:<\/strong> According to someone who was at the Northwestern game and at the Nebraska game, it was a complete 180. An electric atmosphere. Fans were in it early and often. And they showed class with regards to Tommy Armstrong and the injury.<\/p>\n Ben<\/strong><\/p>\n Contain Tommy:<\/strong> They contained him but unfortunately a lot had to do with the injury. Before that, he only had one decent drive anyway.<\/p>\n Pressure please:<\/strong> Neither Nebraska QB had a lot of time to do much. The Silver Bullets were all over.<\/p>\n Offensive identity:<\/strong> Please for the love of God find that early season offensive identity. Yes, we found it early and often.
