It has led to plenty of speculation over his future at the University of Wisconsin.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>That speculation may be put to rest for good, as it is being reported that the junior will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum in his hip after the Cotton Bowl is done.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Badgers?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Badgers<\/a> LT Ryan Ramczyk will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum in his hip after the bowl game, per <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BobMcGinn?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@BobMcGinn<\/a>. 4-month recovery.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Zach Heilprin (@ZachHeilprin) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ZachHeilprin\/status\/810526173700771840?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 18, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>With an expected four-month recovery time it is highly unlikely that\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">Ramczyk will be able to be evaluated in time by NFL scouting departments to get a full picture of his abilities on the next level. It likely ends any speculation over his future at UW.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Given this information it is likely that\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">Ramczyk is going to be forced to stay for his final season in a Badgers uniform and see where things stand for his NFL future after that. What isn&#8217;t known is when this injury occurred and just how long he may have been playing with the injury (if at all).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>He started all 13 games this season, so clearly he either gutted it out through a tough injury or this is something that happened relatively recently.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s1\">Ramczyk ended the 2016 season a first team All-Big Ten selection along with multiple postseason All-American honors. That included selections to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/host.madison.com\/wsj\/sports\/college\/football\/badgers-football-ryan-ramczyk-earns-all-american-honors-from-walter\/article_44a6abd9-e9b7-5218-a08d-30a077d818a1.html\">the Walter Camp<\/a>, Sporting News and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jsonline.com\/story\/sports\/college\/uw\/2016\/12\/12\/ramczyk-watt-named-ap-all-americans\/95338074\/\">AP all-American<\/a> teams. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Should he chose to return given this injury news, it will also mean the Badgers return all five starters along the offensive line for the 2017 season and have some massive depth along the line as well.
