People have reacted, some very publicly, some maybe saying things you don&#8217;t like or don&#8217;t understand.<\/p>\n<p>Isaiah put a lot of pain aside last night and did a great many &#8220;Isaiah&#8221; things when most of us wouldn&#8217;t have been able to even stand on our feet. For a basketball player, the court truly is a safe haven where the grief and pain can be boxed up for a few hours and set by the locker room door.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Celtics?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Celtics<\/a> Avery Bradley: Took a lot of balls for Isaiah Thomas to go out and play and play way he did last night.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Scott Souza (@Scott_Souza) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Scott_Souza\/status\/854030030862782466?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 17, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>It would not surprise me to see Isaiah return for Game 3 and continue finding solace in the game, in his teammates, and in his extended Boston family. However, Isaiah&#8217;s choice is completely his own, and it very well might change when he gets home and the weight of the situation hits him.
