Currently, there are nine former University of North Dakota hockey players playing in the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs. A couple of these former players\u2019 seasons could end this week. The Blackhawks and the Wild are both facing elimination in their first-round series.<\/p>\n
Drake Caggiula<\/strong>, Edmonton Oilers \u2013 Has played in all four of the Oilers games and hasn\u2019t recorded a point. He\u2019s also a plus-one.<\/p>\n Taylor Chorney<\/strong>, Washington Capitals \u2013 Has yet to play a game during the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs. He hasn’t played with the Capitals since February 25, 2017<\/a>. It doesn’t look like he’s going to play<\/a> unless there’s an injury to one of the Capitals’ top-six defenders.<\/p>\n Aaron Dell<\/strong>, San Jose Sharks \u2013 In four games, Dell, the Sharks back goalie and has yet to play in a game.<\/p>\n T.J. Oshie<\/strong>, Washington Capitals \u2013 He’s scored (2g-4a\u20146pts) in four games. After four games, Oshie is also the Capitals leading scorer.\u00a0Oshie is an unrestricted free agent<\/a> after the season is over.<\/p>\n Zach Parise<\/strong>, Minnesota Wild \u2013 The Wild have scored a grand total of five goals during their playoffs series against the St. Louis Blues and Parise has figured in three of those five goals scoring (2g-1a\u20143pts). Through four games, Parise is the Wild\u2019s leading scorer.<\/p>\n Carter Rowney<\/strong>, Pittsburgh Penguins \u2013 Has played in all four of the Penguins three games and hasn\u2019t recorded a point. He\u2019s also a minus-one. Rowney has found a home on the Penguins fourth line playing with former St. Cloud State Husky forward Matt Cullen.<\/p>\n Jordan Schmaltz<\/strong>\u00a0St. Louis Blues \u2013 Played in one of the Blues three games and hasn\u2019t recorded a point.\u00a0On Thursday, Schmaltz was sent down<\/a> to the Chicago Wolves.<\/p>\n Nick Schmaltz<\/strong>, Chicago Blackhawks \u2013 Has played in all three Blackhawks games and has yet to record a point. He\u2019s a minus-two.<\/p>\n Drew Stafford<\/strong>, Boston Bruins \u2013 Scored (1g-0a\u20141pts) in four games. Stafford will be an unrestricted free agent<\/a> after the 2017-18 season.<\/p>\n Jonathan Toews<\/strong>, Chicago Blackhawks \u2013 Scored (0g-1a\u20141pts) in three games, he\u2019s a minus-three.<\/p>\n In a more shocking turn of events.
