David Wright’s 2017 season appears to be over after he pulled the plug on his rehab assignment after just three games due to recurring shoulder pain. The New York Mets’ captain hasn’t played a game this season with a shoulder injury that just hasn’t healed properly, leading Wright to make an appointment to have it examined by a doctor this week. Wright has indicated that he will wait until after the appointment to make a decision about his immediate future, but Mike Puma of the New York Post reports<\/a> that Wright is intent on resuming his career.<\/p>\n
