Thomas, Thornton, Evans, Thompson and Cousins.\u00a0 So does Smart choose a short-term move that could get his team going\u00a0 or does he wait for this group to figure everything out?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><\/strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/e\/evansty01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.cowbellkingdom.com\" target=\"_blank\">Tyreke Evans<\/a><\/strong> is an elite NBA defender, small sample size be damned.\u00a0 For the first time in his career, Evans is completely engaged on both ends of the floor the entire game and his awareness has improved dramatically.\u00a0 He is still struggling with his shot, but there is no questioning his effort or improvement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/t\/thornma01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.cowbellkingdom.com\" target=\"_blank\">Marcus Thornton<\/a><\/strong> was a star tonight for the Kings.\u00a0 In his new role as their super six, Thornton led the Kings with 26 points and he also contributed six rebounds and four assists.\u00a0 Thornton pushed the game to double overtime with a big three, but went scoreless in the final frame.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/robinth01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.cowbellkingdom.com\" target=\"_blank\">Thomas Robinson<\/a><\/strong> had a huge impact on the game during the second half.\u00a0 The rookie power forward had a pair of highlight reel dunks before shifting to the small forward position and forcing up an ill-advised, 23-foot jumper.\u00a0 He is raw, talented and needs to figure out his limitations, but he brings a ton of excitement to the floor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>This portion of the road reaction is not intended as a <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/f\/fredeji01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.cowbellkingdom.com\">Jimmer  Fredette<\/a><\/strong> watch, but after a productive game in Minnesota, the second year guard received his first DNP-CD of the season.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/s\/salmojo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.cowbellkingdom.com\" target=\"_blank\">John Salmons<\/a><\/strong> has rejoined the team.\u00a0 He is not ready to contribute yet, but he was sitting courtside in a suit tonight in Indiana.<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/s\/salmojo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.cowbellkingdom.com\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Stat of the Night: <\/strong>The Kings went 3-for-18 in the two overtime periods.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Three questions to ponder<\/h2>\n<p><strong>1. Does foul trouble plague <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/c\/couside01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.cowbellkingdom.com\" target=\"_blank\">DeMarcus Cousins<\/a><\/strong> for a third-consecutive game?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the first time in this early season, foul trouble was not an issue early for Cousins.\u00a0 He has all the potential in the world, but it&#8217;s hard to show how talented you are when you only play 25 minutes a night.\u00a0 Cousins finally had a solid night, playing 42 minutes and finishing with 21 points and 13 rebounds in the loss.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.
