After Saturday night\u2019s game against the Boston Celtics, <strong>DeMarcus Cousins\u00a0<\/strong>was asked\u00a0about departure of former teammate Marcus Thornton to the Nets. He offered the following perspective.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>It\u2019s tough. I\u2019ve been with Marcus my whole career. Marcus is like a brother to me. It\u2019s tough, but we all know it\u2019s kind of the nature of the business. We\u2019ll still remain friends and I wish him nothing but the best.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Thornton joined Cousins\u2019 midway through his rookie season after the Kings sent Carl Landry to the New Orleans Hornets for the 26-year-old shooting guard.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, <a title=\"Jason Terry to spend rest of season rehabbing away from Sacramento Kings\" href=\"http:\/\/cowbellkingdom.com\/2014\/02\/22\/jason-terry-to-spend-remainder-of-season-rehabbing-away-from-sacramento-kings\/\" target=\"_blank\">the Kings also announced that they would not be receiving the services of one of the players<\/a> acquired in the deal for Thornton. Rather than join the Kings, Jason Terry has decided to spend the remainder of the season rehabbing his surgically repaired left knee in Dallas.<\/p>\n<p>Starting point guard Isaiah Thomas has had a close relationship with Terry dating back to their days in the Pacific Northwest. The 25-year-old point guard touched base with Terry after finding out he wasn\u2019t joining the team.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Yeah, I talked to him. He\u2019s gonna be rehabbing. His knee hasn\u2019t been well this whole season and you could just tell how he played in Brooklyn. But I wish we could\u2019ve played together this year, just to say we did it.
